No, He had studied hard and learned a lot when he was at a German school and university. He spoke several languages. He was good with a gun and a strong swordsman. He was very good at riding a horse.

*He means that if an opportunity comes, he takes it but he doesn't look for work or responsibilities.

First, Rose had a way of asking people to do things which was impossible to refuse. ( Rose was persuasive ) Second, he thought the job sounded quite interesting.

a) Michael always lived in Ruritania and he cared about the people so people loved him

They thought it wouldn't be a good idea for Mr Rassendyll to visit Strelsau now. And they believed that Michael would exploit it for his interest

Because they had to get up at six the next day morning and they had a lot of events.

When he bent down and felt the king's pulse which was very weak and slow.

why not? he is probably also poisoned because they have to throw water in his ace to wake him up. but he ate only cake, so he didn't eat as much poison

Sapt made use of the resemblance between the king and Rassendyll so Sapt asked Rassendyll to go to Strelsau to be crowned as if he were the king .

11-Why do you think that Rassendyll objected to Sapt's plan at first?

He thought that people would realize that he wasn't the king because he was English

12- How do you think that they would get the king to Strelsau after the coronation?

a ) Sapt and Rassendyll would leave the palace and come back to the hunting lodge on horses while Fritz would stay to guard the king's bedroom at the palace.

b) Josef would get the king ready for the journey back. to the palace with Sapt in the dark.

c) Rassendyll would leave the country before it was light .

AS she stared at him , her expression changed . Surely she knew who he was Rassendyll was afraid that she would call out," That is not the real king."

Yes .Because he told the Marshal to tell his soldiers to ride ahead of him and he didn't need them or him ( the Marshal ) Rassendyll continued through the old town alone.

15-why do you think that Rassendyll and Sapt need a permit to leave the city?

Michael controls the city and he has had news from zenda, so he won't people to leave the city .besides, the city gates are locked during that time o the day

16-How do you think Rassendyll could get the king's permit ?

Sapt copied ( forged ) the King's signature on the form to be a permit to leave the city

17-Why do you think Sapt and Rassendyll were lucky when they reached the gate?

As they saw a 14-year -old girl at the gate instead of her father ( the guard of the gate. ) who had gone to see the king and told his girl not to open the gate for anyone.

18- Do you think Sapt recognized the two men on the road through the forest ?Why?

Yes , because the moon was full and he could see the road clearly so Sapt recognized the Duke and Max Holf ( Johan's brother ) Max was a strong-looking man.

19-Why do you think Rassendyll went inside the cellar with a candle without Sapt?

Sapt was very worried as he loved the king and would have hated anything bad to have happened to him.

As Michael couldn't say that Rassendyll wasn't the real king as he had kidnapped the real king and killed his servant ( Josef ).

Yes , Rassendyll knocked one man off his horse, then hit another big man with his sword . Rassendyll killed the two men.

Sapt took three hours to tell him about the king's duties. But Sapt stayed with him to tell him what he ought to do and what he ought not to do as well as what to say to the . important people who had to meet .Rassendyll said " A pretend king's life was harder

Yes .The Princess was very popular and the people seemed very pleased that he had gone to see her. And if he had the support of the Princess , that could only help him.

No. When Michael came to visit the princess, Rassendyll expected him to enter at once but Michael waited at the door to get the king's permission.

It showed that Michael understood who was Rassendyll talking about and it also showed that Michael was threatening Rassendyll to be attacked again.

yes, because of the way Detchard smiles at him when he is pretended to him. if one o the six ٦٢ men knows , they will all know.

He pretended that he had forgotten rules or people that he had met.

28-Why do you think Rassendyll's life changed in Ruritania?

Because Rassendyll always wanted to have a quiet life but he suddenly realised how many responsibilities he had in Ruritania. he had to act like the king. he had to run the country. he met different people and solved problems.

29- Why did Sapt think that the real king at the Castle of Zenda?

a) As the rest of the six famous ( Rupert- Lauengram and Krafstein) were all there .

b) The drawbridge was nearly always kept up. That wasn't normal.

30-Why do you think the letter was sent to Rassendyll?

To ask him to go to the summer house so that someone would tell him something very important about his life. ( It was a plot from Michael)
